Couples are supposed to know each other better the longer they are together. Research says that’s not true. Older pairs who had spent
more years together than younger participants were significantly worse at predicting a partner’s food, film, and kitchen-design preferences.
Researchers say older, long-term couples' payless attention to each other, either because they view their relationship as already solid or
because they think they know their partner well when they really don’t.
