America is experiencing a physician shortage — and it’s only expected to get worse. We could see an estimated shortage of between 37,800 and 124,000 physicians by2034. That’s nearly 50,000 fewer primary care physicians and up to 124,000 fewer specialists — oncologists, endocrinology specialists, pain doctors, cardiologists, and dermatologists, just to name a few.
